DOT 2 OF 6
Production & QC. On the factory floor.
Mandarin-fluent quality control, not desk-bound spec checking.
WHAT WE DO HERE
Production & QC — in practice.
Quality issues in China sourcing almost never happen at the factory we audited. They happen at the unaudited sub-supplier, the rushed final assembly line, or the rebadged-component shipment. Our QC work is structured to catch each of these.
Every Lynxdots QC engagement is run by a Mandarin-fluent inspector physically on site — for the audit, for the sampling, for the pre-shipment check. Photos, videos and defect-rate reports are turned around in 48 hours.
WHAT WE DELIVER
At this dot, you get:
- ●Initial factory audit — capacity, equipment, certifications, ethical compliance.
- ●Sample inspection — every approved sample logged with photo, weight, dimension and finish reference.
- ●In-line production monitoring — inspections at 30%, 60% and pre-shipment milestones.
- ●Final random inspection (AQL 2.5 standard) — photos, video, defect-rate, packaging conformance.
- ●Third-party report sharing where required for client compliance or insurance.
SOUND FAMILIAR?
If any of these sound familiar…
- “The product samples were perfect; the bulk order was 30% defective.”
- “My freight forwarder told me the container had short-shipped — only after it arrived in the UK.”
- “I don’t speak Mandarin, and Google Translate isn’t catching what the QA report actually says.”
FROM THE GROUND
A recent example.
A Manchester-based Amazon seller was launching a kitchen-accessory line. Sample looked clean. Bulk order arrived with 26% defects — wrong colour finish, mislabelled bags, ten different SKU mix-ups. We flew our QC lead to Ningbo within 48 hours, found the factory had subcontracted final assembly to a third party we hadn’t audited. We renegotiated the contract, brought assembly back in-house, ran a re-inspection at 100% scope, and recovered the order in 11 days.
